Job Description

Job Summary: as a Talent Acquisition Specialist , you will be the contact point for all stakeholders within your assigned portfolio (Finance). Your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration across all verticals within the Talent Acquisition function.

Ultimately, you should perform to achieve goals, KPI’s and SLA’s.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct effective and timely shortlisting to ensure the most suitable candidates are seen by the hiring managers
  • Be the expert in US and Canada legislation regarding recruitment and selection processes including discrimination and data privacy regulations
  • Review job descriptions and ensure that the job advertisement is posted in an effective, clear and appealing manner
  • Provide expertise in interpreting test results, shortlists, interviews and assessment centre performance
  • Provide a sounding board on candidate performance and corporate cultural fit
  • Be the expert in recruitment tools and processes to ensure high quality of candidate experience and professionalism including the adoption of new tools and technology aligned with the global talent acquisition strategy
  • Effectively prioritize different roles and ensure that time to fill vacancies is measured and optimized
  • Design and conduct interview and assessment centres
  • Administer and interpret psychometric tests and provide insights to the hiring managers
  • Conduct a targeted search for key roles as required
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection activity for all applicable overseas hires or internal transfers and secondments

Qualifications

  • Proven 4 years working experience within a Talent Acquisition Function specifically on experienced hires (Finance)
  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics, KPI, SLA’s
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Suite or Google suite and Visio or Lucid Charts
  • Excellent demonstrable communication and leadership skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Decision-making skills
  • Degree in Business Management or Training in team leading is a plus
  • CHRL or equivalent is an asset
  • Experience in ATS usage and calibration
  • Previous Recruitment Experience in a corporate setting or Manufacturing setting an asset.

Note: this is a 12-month fixed term contract based on-site in our Toronto or Mississauga office.
