Job Description

Our expanding client is looking for an experienced Senior Piping Designer in Calgary or Edmonton, to join their growing team. This person would be responsible for advanced piping and layout design tasks. Reporting to the Drafting Manager, this is an in office role that fosters support and collaboration.

Responsibilities
Review and update Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Develop precise 3D models for layouts and piping systems.
Lead 3D model review sessions.
Examine and approve drawings provided by vendors.
Generate isometric drawings for fabrication.
Develop and detail general arrangement drawings.
Create pressure vessel models and their fabrication details.
Provide support to the piping checker as needed.
Guide and train junior and intermediate designers.
Establish and maintain drawing standards.
Suggest improvements for processes and efficiency.
Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications
Over 10 years of experience in piping and layout design.

Expertise in using Cadworx 3D software and AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D).
In-depth knowledge of Isogen for generating spools.
Strong understanding of plant processes and layout.
Exceptional communication abilities.
Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
