Responsibilities Shape and execute IQM’s U.S. policy strategy – Develop and implement a government affairs roadmap that aligns with IQM’s global business objectives and supports the growth of the U.S. quantum ecosystem. Build relationships that matter – Engage with policymakers, regulatory agencies, industry associations, and think tanks to promote IQM as a trusted leader in quantum innovation. Drive impact through advocacy – Monitor and influence federal and state legislation, draft policy agendas, prepare white papers, and represent IQM in hearings, roundtables, and industry forums. Support business growth – Collaborate with internal teams to advance public procurement opportunities and navigate complex policy environments. Qualifications and Skills Policy expertise – 3–7+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, lobbying, or related fields, with proven exposure to technology policy. Strategic communicator – Strong writing, public speaking, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex policy issues into clear, actionable strategies. Global perspective – Familiarity with trade, export control, national security, and international affairs, and the ability to collaborate across legal, technical, and business teams. Eligibility for U.S. security clearance – Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, as this role will engage with sensitive policy areas tied to national security.
