New Business Specialist (12 month contract)

Location: Hybrid - Ontario

Empire life is looking to hire a New Business Specialist to join our Group Operations team!

What you’ll be working on

• Monitor the progress of multiple ongoing implementations and provide regular updates to the customers and distribution partners
• Apply knowledge of systems, products, processes and contract wording to quickly and efficiently resolve challenges that arise during the implementation process to ensure a smooth implementation process for the customer
• Manage the end to end implementation process to ensure commitments are achievable and met
• Create a strong first impression of Empire by demonstrating a personal touch, being easy to do business with and professional
• Evaluate and gather additional information, if required; formulate and communicate decisions to ensure a smooth process for the client
• Work with appropriate peers to recommend and/or establish special contract and/or booklet presentation as required
• Liaise effectively with end customers, distribution partners and other business units
• Support the service and administrative requirements of the business unit

What we’re looking for you to have

• Bilingualism (English/French) would be an asset
• Completion of a College or University diploma in business administration or related discipline
• 1+ years work experience in an office environment
• Clear writing, listening and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks or projects
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Attention to detail/accuracy
• Experience in the insurance/financial services industry is an asset
• Knowledge of group products, contract provisions and administrative procedures is an asset
• Working towards ACS designation through LOMA or taking Group Primer courses/CEBS is an asset
