We're seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Planning & Control Manager to join a prestigious organization within the luxury fashion sector. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of iconic brands and contributing to their continued success.About the Role:In this key position, you will be at the heart of the financial operations, partnering with brand management to develop and execute growth strategies. You'll be responsible for streamlining budgeting and forecasting processes, proposing strategic purchasing budgets, and conducting in-depth financial analyses to optimize profitability and return on capital. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance, leading audits, and driving continuous improvement across all financial activities.What You'll Do:- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with brand leaders to develop and implement impactful growth strategies and business plans.- Financial Mastery: Streamline budgeting and forecasting, propose seasonal purchasing budgets (OTB), and analyze sell-through targets.- Inventory Optimization: Define ideal inventory levels and mix, working closely with Merchandising and Supply Chain teams.- Performance Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to evaluate expense effectiveness and profitability.- Risk Management: Develop contingency plans and improvement actions to achieve financial targets.- Capital Optimization: Recommend and monitor actions to maximize return on capital employed.- Expense Control: Lead expense control and business monitoring through diverse information sources.- Financial Integrity: Review and validate financial reporting and lead internal and external audits.- Compliance Excellence: Ensure all company activities adhere to company policies and procedures.What We're Looking For:- Experience: 3+ years in an FP&A role within a foreign subsidiary, ideally in the retail or FMCG sector.- Language: Business-level Japanese and fluency in English.- Communication & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.-Adaptability & Proactivity: A proactive and agile mindset, capable of responding effectively to changes in organizational direction.- Process Orientation: Strong process-driven approach with a keen eye for detail.- Analytical Excellence: Superior analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.- Strategic Planning: Proven ability to plan effectively and prioritize tasks.- Balanced Perspective: Ability to balance attention to detail with a dynamic, big-picture view.Join Us and Shape the Future of Luxury Fashion:This is an exceptional opportunity to join a prestigious organization and make a significant impact on the financial performance of renowned brands.
