Underground Development Charge-Up Operator

Location: Northern Ontario, Canada

Roster: 14 days on / 14 days off (days and nights) FIFO

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced UG Development Charge-Up Operator to join an underground mining team in Northern Ontario. In this position, you'll play a key role in safe and effective blasting activities that support development operations, while working alongside a skilled crew.

What You'll Do

• Carry out development blasting (sub-drift, breast, slash, and drift rounds).
• Handle and use ANFO and initiating systems suited to ground conditions.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain charging vehicles and related equipment.
• Provide direction at development headings and support less experienced team members.
• Work closely with supervisors and operators to keep tasks moving efficiently.
• Promote a safe workplace by following procedures and keeping work areas clear.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years' experience in underground mining.
• 3+ years in a charge-up role.
• Hard Rock Mining Common Core (or equivalent) preferred - training can be arranged if needed.
• Working at Heights Certificate.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• A safety-first mindset and reliability in rotational shift work.
