We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a Brookfield, Wisconsin area organization. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the organization's accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain financial records.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure the integrity of financial data.

• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment processing.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities to meet reporting deadlines.

• Collaborate with team members to support internal and external audits.

• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all tasks.

• Strong knowledge of journal entry preparation and posting.
• Proficiency in maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Experience handling accounts payable processes efficiently.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations with accuracy.
• Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
