Job Requirements
•Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) and in good standing.
•Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) from an accredited institution.
•Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification.
•Up-to-date immunizations and a clear Vulnerable Sector Screening.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Experience in planning and implementing inclusive, play-based learning activities.
•Ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and team members.
Job Description
•
Develop and implement age-appropriate programs that foster children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
•Maintain a safe, healthy, and stimulating learning environment.
•Establish positive and open communication with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress and development.
•Observe and document children’s learning experiences, ensuring alignment with Ontario's Early Learning Framework.
•Collaborate with team members to create and implement engaging activities that meet individual learning needs.
•Provide guidance and mentorship to assistants and volunteers within the classroom.
•Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and all organizational policies and procedures.
•Foster an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates diversity.
•Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities as required.
