About the Role:

As a Senior IT Analyst Applications you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing Caterpillar Japans business-critical application systems. You will collaborate with both local and global teams to deliver reliable IT solutions that drive business success. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about technology eager to solve complex problems and thrive in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for business applications including manufacturing accounting and mainframe systems.
• Analyze business requirements and design effective IT solutions.
• Lead or participate in application upgrades enhancements and deployments.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure applications meet business needs.
• Document system configurations processes and changes.
• Ensure compliance with IT security and company policies.
• Manage and coordinate IT projects ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in application support development or implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken).
• Experience with enterprise application platforms (e.g. SAP Oracle Mainframe or similar).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing or accounting systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
• Project management experience is a plus.
