NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is : 5 out of 7 days a week
This is a Fixed term post for: 5.5 months
Due to maternity leave an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Speech and Language Therapy team within The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, as Band 6 full time for 5.5-months.
You will manage patients with complex swallowing and communication difficulties, working within the Langlands Unit, covering both hyper acute stroke and acute elderly care.
This is a unique opportunity to develop and extend your skills in this area, and the wider older adult services. You may, however, be required to work across all acute sites within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. This post will involve weekend working to support the development of services.
The Adult Acute Service is committed to offering all staff the opportunity to develop clinical skills with a varied caseload, and offers appraisal, supervision and opportunities for Continuing Professional Development.
It is essential you have a degree in Speech and Language Therapy with current HCPC registration.
