JOB TITLE: Site Reliability Engineer LOCATION: Remote (San Diego area preferred)
DURATION: 12 months
RATE RANGE: $64.00 - $74.29/hr **TOP 3 SKILLS:** - 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps role.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
Position Overview: We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our San Diego team. As an SRE, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of production systems. You will collaborate with software engineers to design and implement solutions that improve system availability and reduce manual intervention.
Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and automation systems.
- Identify and mitigate system bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability and performance.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- utomate repetitive tasks to reduce toil and improve efficiency.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Required Skills: - 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps role.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
- Solid understanding of networking, system administration, and security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Previous experience working in high-availability environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
