Who We Are
At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.
The Role
Kyndryl Project Managers oversee the delivery of key projects within scope, schedule, and budget. They act like conductors of an orchestra—driving every aspect of project success, harmonizing everyone's efforts, and creating something beautiful together. As the single point of contact for customers, they also embody Kyndryl’s corporate reputation on a daily basis.
Kyndryl Project Managers maintain a highly detailed and fulfilling calendar. They lead the creation of comprehensive project plans, manage teams, conduct meetings, track progress, plan ahead, and facilitate regular check-ins. They analyze and mitigate risks, manage finances, ensure the team has the right skills, plan and delegate activities, meet deadlines, deliver based on milestones, and ultimately ensure customer satisfaction. Naturally, plans often change as projects progress, so they must think in terms of continuous structure—not just scheduling, but being accountable for delivering value.
Just as planning and organization are crucial, communication is equally important, making up 90% of the job. You are the single point of contact for customers, partners, and all stakeholders, supporting them and ensuring their needs are met. You also serve as a bridge between all other project teams, including technical and sales teams. This creates an exciting environment filled with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and languages. In short: you need to enjoy interacting with others, be kind and empathetic, yet assertive enough to handle customer change requests tactfully.
You’ll meet many people, build networks, and form relationships. Our concept of “one team with the customer” means building especially strong partnerships with customers and other stakeholders. Depending on the project or customer, you may be “on-site” at the customer’s location. In such cases, you’ll often be in the spotlight, but also have more opportunities to enhance the value of those relationships. This is one reason why Kyndryl employees find their work so rewarding. It’s a great way to develop service and interpersonal skills, and to build a foundation for growing your career both horizontally and vertically.
Your Future at Kyndryl
Becoming a Project Manager at Kyndryl is a great gateway to various career paths. You can gain a wide range of skills while earning professional certifications and qualifications. You may choose to move into other technical or non-technical fields, or advance as a Senior Project Manager or Program Manager. With many types and specializations of project management roles available, everyone can find the opportunity that suits them best.
Who You Are
What We Expect From You
You are skilled in your profession and have built the necessary experience to prove it. Equally important, however, is having a growth mindset—a strong desire to grow both personally and professionally. We want you to be someone who puts the customer at the center of everything and prioritizes their success in your work. Lastly, we hope you are open-minded, collaborative, and naturally inclined to work across boundaries with others.
