Senior Legal Counsel, 5-8+ Years
Cambridge, Ontario (Hybrid)
12-Month Contract
ALT is partnering with a financial services institution headquartered in Cambridge, Ontario. This client seeks a Senior Legal Counsel on a 12-month contract to add to the small but growing legal department. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will be involved in the day-to-day legal operations of the company. In particular, you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as addressing matters related to privacy law, regulatory compliance, and other relevant areas.
Applicants must have 5-8+ years of relevant experience . Insurance regulatory experience will be considered an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as the ability to convey complex concepts in clear, easily understandable terms to a diverse range of audiences. The company operates on a two-day-per-week in-office model and offers the opportunity to be very involved with a collegial group of professionals.
