Allied Universal is seeking Security Professional in Oshawa ,Ontario 

Job Title: Security Professional 

Job Location: Oshawa ,Ontario 

Job Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.05 per hour (includes car premium)

Shifts: Various - Days, Evenings, Overnights - 12 hour shifts

Overview :

Currently we are seeking 2 Part Time Security Professional for one of our Corporate Hydro sites.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Protect the safety of persons and their belongings
• Prevent and minimize fire, theft, vandalism, criminal damage and trespass
• Prohibit entry into secure areas of the FSCC of anyone other than authorized persons determined by OPG
• Provide escorts throughout the building as required by policy
• Monitor security command centre consoles (access control, alarms, CCTV video monitors, etc.)
• Respond to emergency codes and support other life safety duties as required
• Respond to alarms
• Issue access cards to personnel as required
• Maintain log of security incidents and report occurrences
• Provide security escorts for staff and visitors
• Other duties as required / requested
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Essential Employment Requirements:

• Must be 25 years of age or older, hold a valid "G" class Drivers License and clean Drivers abstract
• Residence in Canada the past 5 years, without leaving for more than 6 months due to clearance requirements
• Minimum 1 year Security Experience in a Corporate setting
• Valid Ontario Provincial Security Guard licence
• Valid First Aid and CPR
• Minimum High school education/equivalence
• Preference will be given to those who have completed Police Foundations or have 2 years of relevant security experience
• Able to take AUS Training Courses: Effective Communications, Crisis Management & Subject Restraint Training as required
