The Job

You will be responsible for :

• Underwriting applications and renewals in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Working closely with key intermediaries to develop new and retain business and explaining underwriting decisions and requirements.
• Using quantitative & qualitative information to make decisions about how to maintain profitability while balancing this with business growth and client satisfaction.
• Developing and maintaining operational guidelines and processes for underwriting.
• Keeping up to date on all regulatory changes which may have impact on the business.
• Interpreting briefs to produce original content.
• Reworking content based on feedback from stakeholders.
• Ensuring all copy is proof read and free of errors.
• Using research to establish the strategy for reaching out to the target audience.

The Profile

Key Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of global chemical regulations (EU CLP, OSHA HAZCOM 2012, WHMIS, Japan GHS, China GB standards, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with SDS authoring tools such as  SAP EHS, MSDgen, WERCS
• Familiarity with transport regulations like IATA, IMDG, 49 CFR
• Ability to independently prepare SDS documents and handle client communications.
