Job Title: Sales Manager – Hotels

Location: Tokyo, Japan
Department: Hotels / Business Development
Reports to: Head of Hotel Partnerships

About the Company

Our client is a leading global online travel platform that connects millions of travelers with hotels, flights, and travel experiences worldwide. With strong ties to the Chinese travel market, the company is rapidly expanding its hotel partnerships in Japan to meet growing inbound tourism demand.

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive Sales Manager – Hotels based in Tokyo to expand hotel partnerships across Japan. This role will focus on building relationships with hotel groups and independent properties, negotiating commercial agreements, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to grow hotel inventory and revenue.

  • Identify, negotiate, and onboard new hotel partners in Japan.

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with existing partners to maximize performance.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create joint promotional campaigns targeting Chinese travelers.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and partner meetings.

  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of sales or account management experience in hospitality, OTA, or travel industry.

  • Strong knowledge of the Japan hotel and hospitality market.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Native-level Japanese and business-level Chinese (Mandarin) required; English proficiency preferred.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated, data-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
