Job Description

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer for a 3-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Key Tasks

• Work with UI/UX team to elaborate wireframes and produce live prototypes following the wireframe design
• Participate in stakeholder review sessions and adjust the prototypes accordingly
• Review artifact development lifecycle and identify automation opportunities
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system design
• Work with the architect to design and build the Framework Content Management solution
• Build proof of concepts for various aspects of the whole solution
• Parse, transform and enhance content in XMI format
• Provide regular progress updates, demos, and sprint deliverables
• Test, optimize, and ensure system reliability and maintainability
• Support deployment, configuration, and onboarding in AWS Cloud environment
• Elaborate technical documentation for all components and handoff to internal teams

Deliverables

• Design and implement scalable Framework Content Management solution (frontend + backend + storage)
• Define configurable templates for generating live web pages from predefined templates based on dynamic, bilingual content
• Integration with authoring tools that support Markdown/WYSIWYG/structured content
• Approval workflows including inline comments, annotations, and workflow dashboards
• Feedback mechanisms for published docs (e.g., rating widgets, forms, analytics)
• Versioning, status and metadata management
• API based system-to-system integration
• XMI format parsing and transformation
• Develop publishing pipelines and integrations with CI/CD and documentation portals. Static site generation or dynamic rendering depending on performance and frequency of content updates
• Secure authentication, and role-based access control (Admin, Editor, Reviewer, Viewer)
• Audit logs for all content changes and user actions
• Deployment to a cloud environment with proper security and performance optimization

Key Qualifications

• 10+ years of full-stack development experience with expert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular), and backend stacks (Python, Java, etc.).
• Extensive experience building or integrating complex CMS/documentation platforms, including workflows, templates, versioning, metadata, and structured content.
• Strong cloud-native development experience on AWS, including secure deployment, optimization, and CI/CD–integrated publishing pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (7+ years).
• Deep experience building and integrating REST APIs (10+ years).
• Experience with structured content formats, including XMI parsing and transformation.
• Ability to operate independently, manage milestones, and deliver consistently.
• Strong skills in translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• UX/UI experience developing intuitive authoring or content interfaces.
• Proven experience delivering large, enterprise-scale technical systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking abilities.

Assets

• Experience integrating with EA Sparx, Prolaborate, or Confluence.
• Knowledge of modelling notations such as UML, ER, BPMN.
• Experience with docs-as-code ecosystems, DITA, or other structured content systems.
• Familiarity with static site generators or headless CMS platforms.
• CI/CD experience building automated documentation pipelines.
