Position Overview: We are seeking a Prime Payroll Manager for a full-time role. Responsibilities include: Carry out payroll responsibilities using prescribed procedures, consulting management about questions and deviations. Maintain and review client Payroll Workbook, ensuring accuracy before finalization and seeking clarifications when needed. Collaborate with client teams and payroll contacts to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Train and become proficient in multiple payroll, benefit, and 401k platforms to process client payrolls, considering eligibility, caps, employer matches, and compliance. Ensure compliance in areas such as payroll taxes, registrations, 401(k)s, Workers' Compensation, and W-2s. Manage client implementation and conversions of payroll and benefit plans, working collaboratively to set up and audit systems for smooth transitions. Effectively transition client work to other team members, providing thorough training as needed. Perform other related tasks or projects as required. Qualifications and Skills: Proactive and efficient mindset with excellent communication skills via email and video. Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment and manage multiple responsibilities. Self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups. Ability to maintain confidential records and demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness. Quick learner of multiple payroll platforms and strong problem-solving skills. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 6 years' experience in processing multi-state payroll with both exempt and non-exempt employees. Solid knowledge of state registrations, payroll tax, and compliance activities. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or relevant certification. Experience with payroll platforms such as TriNet, Rippling, ADP, and Gusto. Experience processing payroll for multiple clients and multi-state companies. Knowledge of Human Resources practices. Physical Requirements: Remote or telecommute work from home, with the option to work at the company headquarters. The company may modify telecommuting policies at any time. Prolonged sitting and working on a computer are expected.
