Job Description

With over 55 years of experience in the Canadian market, the Amur Group is one of the largest privately held fully integrated near prime mortgage lenders in Canada.

Established in 1969, the Group employs over 100 professionals originating in excess of 300 private mortgages per month from provinces across Canada. This origination platform, along with Sequence Capital (launched in 2020) provides a critical source of private mortgages to complement the Group’s mortgage investment and administration activities.

Job Title: Mortgage Administration Specialist

Position Overview: The Mortgage Admin Specialist works together with the Renewal, Reception, Payout and Foreclosure teams, handling files for any affiliated companies or lenders. You will be responsible for administrative tasks that adhere to all aspects of our mortgages.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Providing a customer-focused approach to your work, excellent telephone manners and the ability to interact positively and effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Promptly answering and responding to calls and/or emails from clients, lenders, fund managers, brokers, lawyers and realtors.
  • Preparing documents and reviewing files to ensure accuracy and completeness, identifying any missing or incorrect information and updating data in the TACL system as required.
  • Keeping AFG fund managers updated with the file status, on a regular basis.
  • Completing confidential administrative work and providing a safeguard for client's personal information.

You Will Bring to the Team:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organization capabilities.
  • 1+ years of administration experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications.
  • Interested in continued learning is a must and post-secondary education is a bonus.
