Today, MetroPrep is entering an exciting new chapter, expanding into world-class programs that prepare students to lead, create, and change the world. Our SMITH Arts program is building professional-level opportunities in music, theatre, film, and multimedia. Students do not just study creativity — they produce professional work that goes out onto the world stage. 

To support this vision, we are seeking a passionate, professional Media Arts Teacher & Creative Professional to join our team.

The Role

This is a dual role that blends professional creative production with classroom teaching .

As a creative professional , you will:

• Act as MetroPrep’s lead multimedia designer, producing high-quality brochures, newsletters, posters, ads, and marketing materials.
• Lead videography and photography projects, including school marketing videos and professional music videos for the SMITH Arts program.
• Use the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) to create compelling, professional-level content.

As a teacher , you will inspire and guide students across the following courses:

• Visual Arts: AVI1O (Grade 9), AVI3M (Grade 11), AVI4M (Grade 12)
• Media Arts: ASM2O (Grade 10), ASM3M (Grade 11), ASM4M (Grade 12)
• Integrated Arts: ALC2O (Grade 10)

You will bring your creative expertise into the classroom, showing students not just theory, but what professional-level media and arts look like in the real world.

Who We’re Looking For:

• A professional creative with proven experience in multimedia, videography, and design.
• Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Strong videography and photography skills — with the ability to shoot, edit, and produce professional-quality projects.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates creative talent and technical expertise.
• A passion for teaching and working with students.
• Master’s degree preferred, though exceptional candidates with significant experience and an outstanding portfolio will be considered.
