Material Handler - Delivery Driver

Are you an experienced Material Handler looking for a permanent position in the Stoney Creek area? We are looking for a Material Handler with counterbalance forklift experience and with experience operating a 19ft cube truck for deliveries.

What we’re looking for:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certification or inhouse certification

• A current DZ Driver’s License (an asset)

• Full-time availability and interest in long-term employment (this is a permanent position)

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious, great communication skills, computer literate, detailed
• Clear criminal record, clear drivers abstract, forklift testing will be completed before hired.

 

Position Details:

• Full-time, permanent role

• $25/hr, Mon - Fri, straight afternoon shift, 10:30am - 7pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete customer orders, receive incoming shipments, restock inventory, Pack and load orders for shipment & complete documents and act as back up driver if needed.

• Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are secure, accurate, and ready for transport

• Perform receiving duties, verify accuracy, re-stock inventory, and report discrepancies

• Act as a back-up DZ/G driver for local deliveries as required

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience, ideally with mechanical device operation

• DZ license preferred, but G license with clean abstract required

• Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience

• Knowledge of mechanical/industrial pipe and fittings is an asset

• Physically fit – able to walk, lift, climb as part of daily tasks

• Willing and able to work afternoon shift

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based tools

• Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable to changing priorities with minimal supervision

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
