Job Description

A leading multinational manufacturing company is seeking a Management Controller to oversee the financial and industrial performance of its Japan operations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting operational efficiency, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor Japan's industrial and financial KPIs (daily, monthly, annual)

Ensure accuracy of cost and management control data in ERP systems

Support month-end closings, including accruals and risk estimates

Track productivity and profitability by product and project

Coordinate project launches and product phase-outs with PMO

Provide cost analysis support to Sales, R&D, and Purchasing teams

Act as regional contact for tax credits, R&D grants, and subsidies

Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards

Support and develop local finance team members

Requirements
5+ years of finance or controlling experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of cost accounting and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English
Strong analytical and communication skills
