Job Description Summary

The Maintenance Leader leads the Maintenance team in the plant emphasizing on total preventive maintenance (TPM) uptime improvement and downtime reduction.

Job Description

Lead the effort in developing and implementing comprehensive TPM strategies and plans to optimize the performance and lifespan of the plant equipment and facilities

Mentor and guide the maintenance team to ensure all maintenance activities are completed on time and to a high standard

Identify and resolve any maintenance issues or breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime and disruption

Implement eMM and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) tracking

Support equipment availability rate improvement ensure plant MTTR/MTBF KPIs meet targets conduct timely troubleshooting and lead the team to find opportunities for improvement

Support Lean transformation and layout design/changes to align with operational strategy

Drive the path to carbon zero promote energy-saving approaches and align with global strategy and BP share among plants

Collaborate with other departments to support the companys overall operational goals

Identify track and drive project execution

Support plant equipment upgrade/refurbishment project implementation and AR process

Provide technical and emotional coaching/interviewing drive hiring performance and evaluate team cohesion

Align with global Repairs Value Stream (RVS) Maintenance team to plan shops Maintenance Roadmap and execute roadmap items

Interface with other organizations and vendors to ensure requirements are met on time

Conduct compliance and framework audits and reviews necessary to meet company and local compliance requirements to reduce risk liability

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering (Technical Electrical Mechanical)
• At least 3 years of related working experience including 1 year in a plant operations leadership position. EHS experience is preferable.
• TOEIC score of 900 or above
• JLPT N1
• Demonstrated competent leadership to drive desired outcomes

• Experience and knowledge of robot condition monitoring systems
• Practical experience and knowledge in preventive maintenance
• Advanced proficiency in English and Japanese is required
• Ability to conduct business meetings with leaders customers and staff in both English and Japanese
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong skills in business analysis problem-solving cost management and strategy development
• Knowledge of manufacturing policies and regulations established by GEV as well as government and other customers
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing management disciplines such as production equipment and facilities and strong project management skills
• Ability to interact with cross-functional teams and at all levels of the organization to help build effective processes
