Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Life Cycle Material Specialist to join a leading aerospace manufacturer supporting a $2bn Dept National Defence (DND) helicopter service program. This position is hybrid, 2-3x a week in office in Gatineau, QC. The Life Cycle Material Specialist supports the Griffon helicopter fleet by managing in-service support and contributing to projects aimed at enhancing or integrating new capabilities. The role involves technical coordination, documentation, and oversight of equipment and system lifecycle activities in collaboration with various military and civilian stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Work with internal/external stakeholders to support projects and lifecycle management.

- Analyze technical issues and recommend solutions.

- Support testing and operational evaluations.

- Draft technical documents, correspondence, and modification instructions

- Prepare and deliver technical presentations.

- Track project progress and system assets/spares.

- Coordinate equipment updates, repairs, and overhauls.

- Participate in technical reviews and meetings.

- Assess proposals for upgrades or new systems

- Provide subject matter expertise on Avionics systems.

- Assist with systems testing and equipment selections

- Review and action technical change requests (e.g., PCRs, UCRs, PIFs).

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- College degree in aircraft maintenance or equivalent training/experience.

- AME license (M1 & M2 or E) with civil rating for Bell 412, or equivalent military certification for CH146 as an AVS Technician.

- Minimum 8 years in aircraft maintenance, ideally within DND CH146 or other military rotary wing units.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Prior experience in the Canadian Forces environment

- Familiarity with aircraft change management processes
