 Department: Operations 
 Location: North York, ON 
 We are looking for an inventory control coordinator to support all aspects of our company & operations. The inventory control coordinator responsibilities include providing operational support to business departments, managing inventory integrity, optimizing operational processes, overseeing process and quality management documentation, and liaising with external stakeholders. 
 Key Duties/Responsibilities: 
-  Coordinate and schedule full physical counts for retail stores and warehouses in advance, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders and adhering to count schedules. 
 -  Schedule internal retail store cycle counts based on predefined schedule or triggers. Issue internal warehouse cycle counts based on routine scheduled bin location counts and short picks. 
 -  Ensure all necessary pre-count tasks are completed ahead of scheduled counts, including but not limited to inventory adjustments, stock transfers, and equipment readiness. 
 -  Load count results into the system promptly after completion, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data entry. 
 -  Review and analyze count results, identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Prepare comprehensive reports for management, highlighting key metrics and insights. 
 -  Initiate standardized follow-up actions as necessary based on count results, such as investigating discrepancies, implementing corrective measures, and updating inventory procedures. 
 -  Ensure overall business compliance with count schedules and expectations, maintaining consistency and accuracy in inventory management practices. 
 -  Maintain reporting mechanisms to track and analyze metrics related to all inventory counts, providing visibility into performance and progress over time. 
 -  Assist in scoping, developing, and implementing best practice inventory control processes and procedures to minimize physical and operational shrink, leveraging industry standards and innovative solutions. 
 -  Monitor scheduled inventory and exception reports to identify and resolve issues such as aged processing locations, negative inventory, mass receivals, outstanding transfers, and count accuracy variances. 
 -  Oversee inventory adjustments throughout the fiscal period, ensuring timely review, approval, and corrective actions to maintain accurate records. 
 -  Coordinate and manage return-to-vendor (RTV) activities from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to procedures and effective communication between all involved departments. 
 
 Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed: 
-  Tertiary education in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred or an equivalence of experience 
 - 2+ years experience with inventory management, preferably in a retail or warehouse environment. 
 -  Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights. 
 -  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners 
 -  Experience with inventory management software, WMS or ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. 
 -  Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision. 
 -  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
