We’re partnering with our global client , a leader in the building materials and hardware industry , to hire an International Senior Buyer – Commodity Panels .

This is a strategic, high-impact role where you’ll lead international sourcing and procurement for panel and board products across Canada. You’ll manage supplier relationships worldwide — from Asia to South America — ensuring sharp pricing, reliable supply, and competitive market positioning.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead international procurement of wood-based panels and board products (Asia, Brazil, North America).
• Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximize profitability and ensure supply stability.
• Analyze global market trends, cost drivers, and competitive pricing structures.
• Develop and strengthen supplier partnerships; identify new sources and materials.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in sales, operations, and product management .
• Recommend new products and sourcing strategies to improve margins and market agility.
• Report on sourcing performance, market intelligence, and profitability impact.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in international buying, procurement, or commodity sourcing , ideally within panels, wood products, or construction materials .
• Proven track record in price negotiation and supplier management at a global level.
• Strong market and financial insight — “sharp on price, sharp on the market.”
• Highly analytical, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently.
• Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite .
• Based in British Columbia or open to relocation (national scope).
• Bilingual English/French is an asset.
