Built in 1922, the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole private course. Located in the heart of Sudbury, Idylwylde is nestled between Laurentian University and beautiful Lakes Ramsey and Nepahwin, which provides all users with a pristine setting.

Position Description:

We are looking to fill this position with a detailed orientated self-motivator who will be responsible for the set-up and maintenance of golf course equipment including but not limited to diesel, gasoline, electric and hydraulic powered equipment. A comprehensive preventative maintenance program along with documentation must be part of your equipment fleet management philosophies. You will play a key role in the training of staff regarding the safe operation of golf course equipment alongside the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent. As well you will be responsible for maintaining clean service areas and maintenance buildings. This is a full-time, year-round position which offers a competitive compensation and benefit package.

Qualifications:

• Requires a working knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment. Graduate of an accredited related program an asset
• Enjoys the problem-solving aspects that this position is always faced with
• Innovative and the capability of fabrication
• Ability to utilize “Fleet Management” software
• Effective communication skills which will provide a positive work environment for all company staff
• Ability to work early mornings is imperative. Outside of mornings some flexibility in schedule can be accommodated
• Valid driver’s license

Salary: $32 – $40/Hr
