The Opportunity
Plans, choreographs, and instructs fitness classes.
Responsibilities
Plan safe, effective and balanced classes
Lead and instruct safe, effective, and balanced classes
Stay within Scope of Practice
Physical Abilities to perform the duties of the position
Be on time to prepare class setup for participants and be available during and after class for any questions or concerns
Customer service
Professional and fun
Mindful of different abilities and fitness levels
Adaptable
Report any unsafe behavior and equipment
Keep inventory organized
Ability to multitask and react quickly to emergency situations
You Bring
Valid Fitness Instructor Certification
Minimum 2 million Liability Insurance
Emergency First Aid CPR/AED Certification (renewed yearly as required by Certification)
Hours
Must be available to work on evenings and weekends.
Salary/Wage
The rate of pay is in accordance with the CUPE Collective agreement, Fitness Instructor III, and will be $40.26 per hour.
