About the Role: We're looking for a
Red Seal Certified Journeyperson Electrician to join our team in Medicine Hat as an
Electrical Technician III . In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, installing, and commissioning various types of electrical and instrumentation equipment across our pipeline systems.
This is a
field-based, safety-sensitive role that requires a strong commitment to safety, integrity, teamwork, and high performance.
What You'll Be Doing: - Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems including:
- Motors, MCCs, medium voltage switchgear
- Instrumentation equipment and communication networks
- Perform inspections, repairs, and installations as needed
- Follow all company policies and procedures (O&M standards)
- Coordinate with supervisors, planners, and other technicians to plan and execute work
- Use work management software for logging and documenting maintenance
- Maintain clean, secure, and safe facility environments
- Execute one-call requests, locate lines, and manage crossing reports
What You Bring: - Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification (required)
- 4+ years of industrial electrical experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license (driver's abstract check required)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug, and background screening
- Comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding environments
Nice to Have: - Experience with High Voltage systems (4160V to 138kV)
- Familiarity with SCADA systems
