Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role:

The Senior Electrical Engineer leads projects teams, design, and engineering of buildings systems across various projects. Including power distribution, connection to utilities, lighting, controls, emergency power, life-safety systems, fire alarms and renewable power generation and storage. Projects are primarily institutional and commercial buildings across the company's portfolio of clients.

In this role, it is expected that the Engineer will lead projects while coordinating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders. They will act as Project Manager on single discipline projects. Ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget. This role will provide technical expertise, guidance, training, and mentorship to their team.

Salary: $125 000 to $150 000

In-Office Policy: Hybrid in Toronto

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Responsible for project management and engineering leadership on multiple electrical buildings projects, including 1) overall project scope and deliverables, 2) CAD deliverables, and 3) project budgets and financials
• Feasibility research and design of building electrical systems: power distribution, utilities connections, lighting, controls, emergency power, life-safety systems, and fire alarms, renewable power generation and storage.
• Work with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop detailed designs.
• Electrical design to support both new construction and retrofits of electrical systems engineering.
• From project initiation to completion, support the team by providing equipment selections, cost and timing, estimates, reports, design specifications and drawings for building electrical systems.

Here's what you'll need:

• 8-15+ years relevant working experience in electrical building systems engineering.
• Professional Engineering License with PEO (P.Eng)
• Extensive project experience and track record with local Electrical Codes and Provincial Building Codes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Revit, and AutoCAD.
