Job Description – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Planner (2‑Year Contract)

Overview We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Planner to support corrective and preventive maintenance activities at a large industrial facility. This role is focused on planning and preparing detailed work packs for electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop corrective and preventive maintenance plans for switchgear, MCCs, transformers, relays, PLC/DCS systems, and instrumentation loops.
• Convert tasks into logical operations with clear labor, materials, tools, and cost requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to safety, environment, and production.
• Conduct site visits to confirm field conditions and improve work pack accuracy.
• Prepare documentation including manuals, drawings, checklists, inspection/test plans.
• Monitor planning queue dates and communicate deviations or deferrals.
• Incorporate feedback from execution teams to continuously improve task lists, BOMs, and materials data.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician or Instrumentation Technician (Red Seal preferred) or E&I Technologist.
• 10+ years electrical/instrumentation trades experience plus 3+ years in maintenance planning.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/instrumentation codes, standards, and QA/QC practices.
• Proficiency with SAP CMMS, Primavera, and MS Office.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Safety‑driven, detail‑oriented, and adaptable to evolving priorities.

Schedule

• Preferred: Local candidates, 5 days/week, 8‑hour shifts.
• Alternative: Rotational 14/7 with camp accommodations if local candidates are not available.
