Dog Grooming Apprentice in Milverton Location Milverton, ON :

The Pawsh Dog is seeking individuals who are interested in pursuing a long term career in pet grooming at:

32 Main St North Milverton,ON N0K 0A3

Our team of over 20 stylists are some of the best in the industry. We are dog groomers, managed by a professional management team with strong grooming backgrounds.

We use the best equipment and products in a supportive team environment dedicated to continuing education and advancement.

Each apprentice will be paired with a senior stylist to help with tasks including:

• studying written and video materials
• completing written and hands on skills assessments
• cleaning
• laundry
• equipment maintenance
• bathing dogs
• drying dogs
• nail trimming and foot care
• brushing and combing dogs thoroughly
• removing wood ticks

As the apprentice's skills develop they will be trained further in skills including

• clipping dog hair with clippers
• trimming dog hair with scissors
• executing both pet and breed specific styles

The ideal candidate is someone willing to work and study for approximately two years while they learn the theory and technique of becoming a fully trainer dog groomer.

Available for shifts between 7:00 AM - 7:00PM Monday to Sunday. 25-40 hours per week.

Be able to stand for entire shift and lift up to 40Ibs

What you will bring to our team:

• Strong passion and love for dogs
• excellent in customer service skill
• professional grooming techniques for a variety of dog breeds
• Grooming services such as bathing, drying, clipping, hand scissoring, medicated and general cleansing, pedicures and more
• able to groom dogs to specific customer request
• strong time-management and multitasking skills
• 1-year minimum experience with a salon is an asset

Pay: $17.00-$30.00 per hour
