Job Description

As part of our in-house design team the Graphic Designer is responsible for developing innovative and effective design ideas that are visually and conceptually engaging.

GVA Lighting is a Canadian lighting manufacturer with a global presence, known for landmark architectural lighting projects worldwide, from Tower Bridge in London to Mashreq Bank in Dubai. We collaborate with renowned architects and lighting designers to create signature architectural lighting solutions. With our talented team, we push the boundaries of lighting technology, setting new standards in the industry.

Each of our projects is unique and highly technical and you will play an integral role in helping promote the Business, working closely with other teams in crafting the right solutions. The Creative Design will leverage technical expertise and strong knowledge of the design process to create striking and effective marketing materials.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Deliver exceptional creative solutions and act as an expert internal consultant, providing advice and guidance on design projects.
  • Create compelling visual assets using illustration, animation, video, photography, and typography to support marketing initiatives.
  • Lead the design and production of marketing materials, including landing pages, newsletters, ads, brochures, presentations, sales tools, social media banners, event promotions, and stationery.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate brand guidelines, ensuring consistent application across all print and digital media.

  • Manage all phases of the design process—research, concept development, visual execution, and review.
  • Support content creation and campaign execution for social media platforms.
  • Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders and external partners, liaising with approved suppliers as needed.
  • Maintain and update the company website, ensuring a visually engaging and user-friendly experience
  • Design exhibition and event booths, ensuring brand consistency, functionality, and visual impact.

What would make you a great candidate:

  • 5+ years design experience in a technology, innovation, or manufacturing company;
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Design, or Industrial Design;
  • Strong design tool skills (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint);
  • Exceptional 3Ds MAX rendering and animation skills;
  • You have a working knowledge of WordPress, Lightroom and Premiere Pro;
  • You can easily tell the difference between ‘good’ and ‘great’ design;
  • You pay attention to details and incorporate feedback;
  • You have a portfolio with your work;
  • You are creative!
