Position Overview :

We are seeking skilled AS/400 Application Developers with strong programming skills in RPG (RPG IV, ILE) , COBOL , and CL to join our team. The successful candidates will have experience in refactoring legacy code to modern systems and integrating applications with DB2/400 databases . You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving mission-critical applications while working in a collaborative, bilingual environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Application Development : Develop, maintain, and enhance AS/400 applications using RPG IV , COBOL , and CL .
• Legacy Code Refactoring : Refactor and modernize legacy AS/400 code to improve system functionality and efficiency.
• Database Integration : Integrate applications with DB2/400 databases, ensuring smooth data handling and storage.
• System Optimization : Work on optimizing application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaboration : Collaborate with other team members, including project managers and engineers, to ensure seamless integration and efficient development.
• Code Maintenance : Provide ongoing support for existing applications, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, and code upgrades.

Required Qualifications :

• Strong programming skills in RPG (RPG IV, ILE) , COBOL , and CL .
• Experience with DB2/400 and integrating applications with databases.

• N3-level Japanese proficiency is required to communicate with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a bilingual, cross-functional team environment.
