Contract & Risk Analyst Role – Western Canada

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of bid documents, contracts (service/maintenance, modernization, new installation), change orders, and legal agreements.
• Negotiate and approve contract terms in collaboration with sales representatives and customers.
• Support projects and initiatives with regulatory, legal, and operational risk implications.
• Provide guidance on contractual rights and obligations to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Develop and administer insurance and bond requests, as needed.
• Assist in drafting demand letters and negotiating settlements for unpaid accounts or early contract cancellations.
• Research industry trends and legislative updates to enhance contract management processes.
• Perform legal administrative duties to support compliance, contracts, and risk administration initiatives.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in law, legal administration, or paralegal studies is preferred.
• A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in contract review and administration – knowledge of construction contracts in Canada is a definite asset.
• Proficiency in legal terminology and ability to interpret complex legal documents.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
