Position Summary:

The Community Relations Team aims to position OIST as a research university that is open and accessible to the local community, contributing to the development of Okinawa through science events and educational programs that support capacity building. We also offer guided campus tours for the general public, host school visits, and coordinate special visits from external organizations. In addition, we play a key role in strengthening collaboration both within and beyond the institution to advance our outreach initiatives.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and organize science educational programs such as lectures, events, workshops, internships and other activities aimed at capacity building.
2. Coordinate and facilitate campus visit programs for students and the general public.
3. Plan and organize cultural events such as performing arts and exhibitions, etc.
4. Strengthening collaboration with municipalities and external organizations.
5. Foster internal collaboration within the institution.
6. Handle incoming phone calls and respond to external inquiries.
7. Process purchase orders and travel requests using the accounting system.
8. Maintain and update the section's website.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

地域連携チームはOISTを、地域に開かれた大学院大学として、科学イベントや教育プログラムを通じて沖縄の発展に貢献することを目指しています。これらの活動は、地域社会の能力向上を支援するものであり、また、一般向けキャンパスツアーの案内、学校訪問の受け入れ、外部組織からの特別訪問の調整も行っています。さらに、当機関内および機関外での協力を強化し、アウトリーチ活動を推進する上で重要な役割を果たしています。

職務内容：

1. 人材育成を目的とした科学教育プログラム（講演会、イベント、ワークショップ、インターンシッププログラム等）の企画・ 実施
2. 小中高校生向けおよび一般見学者向け見学プログラムの企画・実施
3. 公演や展覧会など文化イベントおよび地域交流プログラムの企画・実施
4. 自治体・外部組織との連携強化
5. 学内での連携強化
6. 電話応対、外部からの問い合わせ対応
7. 会計システムを使った購入依頼や出張申請、会計手続き
8. セクションウェブサイトの更新
9. その他の業務

応募必要条件

スキル・資格

(Required)

1. A bachelor’s degree in education, communications, public relations, social sciences, or community development, or 2-5 years of experience in relevant fields
2. Business level English (TOEIC 800 or higher) and native level Japanese
3. Strong verbal communication skills, particularly in interactions with stakeholders
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

(Preferred)

1. Experience in science communication
2. Knowledge of basic science, experience in science education
3. Work experience in an international environment
4. Work experience in a customer service-related role

1. 教育、コミュニケーション、広報、社会科学、地域開発に関する学士号、または関連分野での2〜5年の職務経験
2. ビジネスレベルの英語力(TOEIC 800 点以上)、ネイティブレベルの日本語力
3. 特にステークホルダーとのやり取りにおいて、高いコミュニケーション力を有する方
4. コンピュータースキル上級 (Word, Excel, Power Point, その他)
5. チームワークを大切にしながら業務を遂行できる方

1. サイエンス・コミュニケーションの経験
2. 科学の基礎知識、科学の教育経験
3. 国際的な環境における職務経験
4. カスタマーサービス関連の職務経験
