Job Description

Position: CFO

Position Overview:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team while managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role is ideal for a finance leader who can balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution in accounting, reporting, and operational finance. The CFO will drive financial performance, oversee compliance, and help position the company for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting.

  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and execute the company’s financial and strategic plans.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement and monitor internal controls, processes, and systems to strengthen financial discipline.

  • Provide timely, accurate financial analysis to support decision-making and business growth initiatives.

  • Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, audits, and external advisors.

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, building capacity and efficiency as the company scales.

  • Evaluate investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and potential acquisitions.

  • Drive operational efficiency by collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with business performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership in a mid-sized or growth-stage company.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards.

  • Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

  • Proven ability to balance tactical execution with strategic planning.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; able to work cross-functionally with executives and staff.

  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems and data analytics tools a plus.
