Job Responsibilities

RF Optimization – 4G/5G

• Perform daily analysis of RAN KPIs (e.g., DL/UL throughput, VoLTE KPIs, CQI, RSRP, SINR, NR/EN-DC success).
• Optimize coverage, capacity, and quality for LTE and NR cells/clusters by tweaking parameters, antenna tilts, and power settings.
• Address issues like interference, call drops, poor SINR/RSRP, VoLTE quality , and mobility failures (e.g., handover success/failure, reselection).
• Conduct PCI planning and conflicts resolution and TA tuning for 5G optimization.

New Feature Trials

• Participate in validation and performance analysis of new vendor features (e.g., MIMO beamforming, EN-DC, DSS, CA, VoNR).
• Collaborate with vendor R&D and planning teams to benchmark feature performance against KPIs.
• Provide field testing support and report outcomes of A/B testing, parameter tuning , and coverage impact studies.
• Document trial results and recommend go/no-go for feature rollout across the network.

Customer Complaint Analysis & Resolution

• Investigate and resolve customer complaints using tools like NEMO, Probe, or Geo-Analytics platforms .
• Perform site audits and on-field testing in complaint-affected areas.
• Analyze logs and subscriber traces (S-TAP, XDR, MDT) to identify issues impacting individual or group user experience.
• Interface with Customer Experience Teams and ensure complaint closures with proper RCA.

Tools and Data Analysis

• Use drive test and post-processing tools:
  • TEMS Investigation / NEMO Outdoor / Genex Probe
  • Actix Analyzer / SwissQual / QXDM / Genex Assistant
• Utilize planning and analysis tools:
  • Atoll / Planet / MapInfo / QGIS
• OSS and PM counter tools:
  • ENM (Ericsson), NetAct (Nokia), M2000 (Huawei), ZTE U2020
  • STAP / Metrica / Ufone / Smartcare / ZenFI / ZenTools / Infovista
• Work with Python , Excel Macros , Power BI , or Tableau for automation and reporting dashboards (optional/advanced).

Job Qualification: 

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10 years of experience in RF Optimization for LTE/5G .
• In-depth understanding of LTE (Rel-10 to Rel-14) and 5G NR (NSA/SA, Rel-15/16/17) .
• Experience with VoLTE , EN-DC , CA , and Massive MIMO/Beam Management .
• Hands-on with Layer 3 analysis and drive test KPI optimization .
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and troubleshooting skills .
• Exposure to multi-vendor environments (e.g., Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, ZTE, Samsung) is highly desirable.

Language Skills: Business level Japanese (N2 and above) and Business level English
