Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Test Lead / Onsite Coordinator with a strong background in testing, insurance domain knowledge, and coordination between onsite and offshore teams. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Japanese and English, with hands-on testing and coordination experience in large-scale projects.

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Act as the onsite coordinator representing the vendor in Tokyo.
• Attend workshops related to release activities and share outcomes with the offshore India team.
• Represent the vendor in discussions with stakeholders and other vendor teams.
• Support the offshore team with clarifications related to application functionality.
• Perform test case reviews and estimation reviews.
• Carry out database-related activities (SQL queries, validations, etc.).
• Coordinate effectively with Business Analysts (BA), Business Systems Analysts (BSA), and Developers.

Job Qualifications:

• Languages:
• English: Business-level fluency.
• Japanese: Native or JLPT N2 equivalent.
• Prior experience working with Japanese clients and work culture.
• SQL / DB knowledge – ability to execute and validate queries.
• Knowledge of Azure Boards.
• Functional knowledge of insurance applications.
• Hands-on experience in large testing projects (hybrid model), with proven test lead experience.
• Understanding of test automation (preferably with exposure to automation tools).
• Strong communicator who can bridge offshore and onsite teams.
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage release-related workshops and discussions.
• Experience working in the insurance domain and handling client-facing coordination roles.
