The Assistant Treasurer will play a critical role in managing financial operations, ensuring liquidity, and optimizing cash flow for the organization. This position in the energy & natural resources industry requires expertise in treasury management and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Description
* Manage daily cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
* Prepare and analyze cash forecasts to support financial planning activities.
* Oversee bank account management, including opening, closing, and monitoring transactions.
* Implement and maintain treasury systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of treasury activities.
* Evaluate and negotiate terms for banking and financial services agreements.
* Assist with risk management strategies, including hedging and foreign exchange operations.
* Support compliance with regulatory and internal financial policies.
Profile
A successful Assistant Treasurer should have:
* A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Proven expertise in treasury management or financial operations.
* Strong understanding of cash flow analysis and forecasting techniques.
* Experience working within the energy & natural resources industry is a plus.
* Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy.
