We are seeking an Admissions Outreach and Retention Coordinator to join our team on Campus! The qualified individual will represent MI College of Music through the development and implementation of prospective applicant outreach activities and strategies to attract and retain applicants (and students) from diverse backgrounds to MI College of Music’s programs. The Admissions Outreach and Retention Coordinator will develop relationships with advisors, attend admissions fairs, and make site visits as assigned. They will serve as an informational resource for prospective students by working with applicants, students, faculty, and staff to develop familiarity with the program. This position will also work with the Student Affairs Office to support retention and re-enrollment of students who have withdrawn or are on a leave-of-absence (LOA).

Typical Responsibilities:

• Promote MI College of Music programs by connecting with data-targeted collegiate programs (locally, regionally, and nationally) through attending outreach events, and virtual informational sessions. This requires maintaining proper knowledge of student services and programs to address prospective applicant inquiries. Participate in other Admissions outreach activities as assigned (e.g., Admissions presentations, tours, representation). Must maintain detailed knowledge of the Admissions processes.
• In collaboration with the Director, assist with planning, implementing, and executing special Admissions related activities.
• Assist the Director of Admissions and Marketing in identifying higher education trends that could potentially affect recruiting strategies and budgeting.
• Student Services Related Activities: Work collaboratively with the Admissions team and admitted students to retain interest in the program until the cohort launch. Support the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs with program duties as assigned in collaboration with other Admissions team members (e.g., graduation, coating, etc.).
• Monitors student(s) enrollment status on an ongoing basis and connects students with intervention support services and facilitates retention and re-enrollment activities.
• Position will be located on Campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or three years of experience in Admissions or recruitment related experience.

• Previous experience in education administration or other related fields
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
