Company Profile

• A globally leading technology company is expanding in Japan and undergoing a transformation. They are a leader in their segment and continue to innovate new products to diversify their business.

The Role

• Accounts Payable (AP):
  - Review, verify, and process vendor invoices with accurate coding and authorization.
  - Prepare and schedule payments via electronic transfer or other approved methods.
  - Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve vendor issues.
  - Maintain vendor accounts and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
  - Support month-end close by accruing unpaid expenses and posting adjusting entries.

• Accounts Receivable (AR):
  - Generate and issue accurate customer invoices per sales/service contracts.
  - Monitor and follow up on overdue invoices; manage collections effectively.
  - Apply incoming payments and reconcile cash receipts.
  - Maintain customer accounts and resolve disputes in collaboration with internal teams.
  - Prepare aging reports and assist with analysis and collections or write-offs.

• General Accounting:
  - Record and reconcile intercompany transactions in accordance with policy.
  - Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
  - Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  - Prepare and analyze AP/AR reports, providing variance analysis and insights into trends.

Your Skills

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting-related role
• Fluent in Japanese with business-level proficiency in English
• Strong understanding of JGAAP and IFRS accounting standards
• Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills

• 6,000,000 yen - 7,500,000 yen
