Job Description

A leading global retail company is seeking an AR Accountant to support its Japan operations. This role is ideal for candidates with strong AR experience and a passion for working in a dynamic, consumer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable processes for both store and e-commerce channels
• Monitor and reconcile payment discrepancies and reporting errors
• Prepare supporting documentation and reports using internal systems
• Communicate with internal teams and external partners (vendors, landlords, etc.)
• Support monthly and annual closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on AR experience
• Experience in the retail or wholesale industry is a strong plus
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Oracle)
• Business-level Japanese is mandatory; English proficiency is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
